Privacy Policy
StudyDis is built for school students, so we collect as little as we can, keep your study material private, and never sell your data. This page explains exactly what we collect and why.
What we collect
- Account details: your first name, class, board, subjects and, if you add it, your school. If you sign in, also your email address, which we use to sign you in and to send account and payment messages.
- Study material you upload: photos and PDFs of your notes and school papers, and the text we read from them.
- What you do in the app: questions you practise and how you marked them, what you record your teacher asked, and exam dates you add.
- Payment records: which plan you're on, when it renews, and for each payment its amount, date and Razorpay reference IDs.
How payments are handled
Payments are processed by Razorpay, a regulated payment gateway. You enter your card, UPI or bank details on Razorpay's secure checkout — they go straight to Razorpay and are never sent to or stored by StudyDis. Razorpay handles that information under its own privacy policy.
Razorpay tells us whether a payment succeeded, which is how your plan switches on and renews. We keep payment records even if you delete your account, because the law requires businesses to keep financial records; they're separated from your profile when your account is deleted.
Who processes your data
- Supabase — stores your account (email, StudyDis ID, plan) and handles sign-in.
- Razorpay — processes payments and subscriptions, and emails payment receipts.
- Our hosting provider — runs the website.
They process data only to provide these services to StudyDis.
How we use it
To read your notes, build Tomorrow's Prep, generate questions and practice papers, analyse your saved papers, and show your progress. That's it.
We don't use your study material for advertising, and we don't sell or rent personal data to anyone.
Other students never see your notes
Your notes, photos, papers and answers are private to your account. No other student can view them, search them, or receive them as examples.
If you switch on Help improve question patterns in Settings, we may use anonymised, aggregated signals — such as which concepts appear in questions — to improve pattern detection. These signals never include your notes, images, name or anything that identifies you. It's off by default and you can turn it off at any time. See the Data Policy.
Students under 18
Most StudyDis users are under 18. If you are, please use StudyDis with the knowledge of a parent or guardian, who can contact us about your account at any time.
How long we keep it
We keep your material for as long as your account is active, so your archive can grow across the school year. When you delete something, it's removed from your account straight away and from backups within 30 days.
Your choices
- Export everything you've stored, as a file, from Settings.
- Delete individual uploads and papers, or your whole account (this also stops any subscription).
- Turn anonymised pattern sharing on or off.
- Ask us what we hold about you, or to correct it.
